Implementing the Recircle Program

On Sunday, Kevin Harris, Urology Nurse Specialist at Leicester General Hospital, lead a session on sustainability in Urology practice. Delegates got to hear Kevin share why and how his team implemented Ambu’s take-back and recycling program, Recircle, including:

  • Practical steps for adopting Recircle
  • Environmental impact within the service
  • Team engagement
  • Lessons learned from real clinical implementation

It was an extremely informative session, where delegates were able to ask their own questions and have a chance to hear directly from peers. If you have any further questions on Recircle, or didn’t get the chance to join and would like to know more, click the link below to reach out to Alexander, our UK Sustainability Manager.

Surgical Sessions

Mr Laurian Dragos performed RIRS with aScope 5 Uretero on Saturday morning, supported by a fantastic team at UCLH. The procedure showed clear imaging and excellent manoeuvrability that aScope 5 Uretero offers, while fitting seamlessly into the team’s existing OR setup.

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF AMBU

Yasser Hassein, Medical Affairs Specialist and Michael Afolabi, Health Economics Specialist from Ambu’s HEMA team, joined several key scientific sessions at EAU 2026, gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in Endourology. These included the increasing use of urinary biomarkers, utilising FANS to reduce intrarenal pressure and increase stone-free rate and how AI is continuing to dominate discussions.

We’re fortunate at Ambu to have the HEMA team supporting the development of evidence-based, clinically relevant solutions. We are always open to discussing investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and exploring new collaborations.

If you'd like to learn more about IIS click here
